Dedicated to Meaty's memory

It is with great sadness that these pictures come to you asking for thoughtfulness and prayers for my son Michael and his wife Diana. On November 7th,6:10 am the day after their first wedding anniversary that Meatball passed away. He had been sick for a while and the vets couldn't really tell what was wrong with poor Meaty. Michael was holding him in his arms when Meaty took his last breaths of life. My son and his wife are in a tremendous amount of sorrow and I pray every day that they come to peace and life seems more bearable to them. Meatball was my son's best friend and feels so lost with out Meatball. Please keep them in your prayers, Meaty was only 4 years old. We love you Meatball. All of our kids have pets and when one of them pass on it feels as though it is one of your own grandchild/grandpet/granamal. Michael and Diana we love you.

It is always difficult when we lose a pet. I pray they will remember the good times they shared.

I'm so said for Michael's loss. I know the pain of loosing ones fur baby is a hard one to overcome. It has been over 10 years since I lost my Cody and 1 year since I lost Brat and I still shed tears. We just got approved with Golden Rescue to become parents again to a dog in need of a home. In time I hope Michael will find a new love.

Aw, Lisa, I followed your link on the message you sent me looking for
color ideas for your arm chair pincushion...I found this post and my heart hurts for your son. We lost a great friend dog a few years back, and I mourned for weeks and weeks. I still miss him even though we have taken on three more dogs since. Meatball looks like he was a wonderful dog...and what a handsome son! I will be praying for your son and his wife. Hi Lisa, I came over to visit from Judy's fabrications, as she has a picture of a scissor keep she made and I thought you might have a tutorial for it.
I am so sorry to read about your son's dog " Meaty". We too, have suffered an unexpected loss such as that. It was so hard to accept when how dog Tilly , who was approximately 7 and the picture of health went into kidney failure and we discovered she had been born with only one kidney, we had to do the last loving thing that we could for her and it broke our hearts. I have a picture of her in my sewing/computer room with this poem that I would like to share with you and your son.
When I'm gone, release me, let me go
You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears
You can only guess how much you gave me in happiness
Grieve for a while, if grieve you must
Then let your grief be comforted by trust
And then when you must come this way alone
I'll greet you with a lick and bark- " Welcome Home"
Meaty has crossed the Rainbow Bridge, and I am sure you will all see him again one day. Many hugs to you from across the pond. Sandy.
