I was born and raised in Margaretville NY and that is where I went to School and Graduated 1978. I had a few years of fun time and worked a few jobs, OD Heck was a facility that housed mentally disable adults. I made good money there and worked about a year. I then married my now husband Ted Alff who had just been honerly discharged from the Air Force. We moved to Schenectady NY with our baby daughter Ashlee and he worked at Hancock Field as a fireman and. I was a stay at home mom and we had another child Michael. After being there for a while that base closed and Ted was transferred to Griffiss Air Force Base in Rome NY, there we stayed for several years. I works at a couple Banks in customer service and later for Time Warner Cable. Again this base closed and we ended up here in North Carolina, my husband worked at Pope Air Force base until he retired. He now is working for the Cumberland County Sherrifs Dept as a dispatcher.
My craftiness started as a young girl, my Aunt Murial tought me how to embroidery and I loved it. that led into many art forms for me. Crochet, sewing, and just anything I was able to get my hands on. Now I do many things such as, oil painting, crochet, tatting (tought to me by Audrey Alff) knitting, quilting, applique and crazy patch quilting (2 of my favorite things to do) altered art, basket weaving, gee I can't remember everything.
We have 8 cats and 2 dogs which keep me so so busy. We love each and everyone and since we know we could easily become hoarders we have to be real careful. our dream would be to have a home in a remoat area and have space to keep animals. that will never happen though. Lot of work!!!
We Are Christans and believe that Jesus came to earth as man and God and died on the cross to pay for all of our sins so that we will have eternal for all of those who believe. Praise God for that free gift. There is nothing we can do to save ourselves, no it is by grace you are saved, not of your own doing.....
