This is a gorgeous garden spider on our Yucca plant. They get very large!!!! I am scared to death of a spider, but I never just kill one. They serve a purpose in some capacity. I did however kill a black widow that was walking across the top of the water right towards me. Now that was freaky and I did feel threatened. That was my first encounter with one ever.
