This is label on the back of Chris's pin cushion

This is a pin cushion I made for Chris Keppel in an Art4Mail. Made from wool felt and silk ribbon embroidery with some beading.

This is one of my first quilts I made which also comes out at Christmas. I pieced and quilted it on my Bernina..Just simple meandering...

this is a snowman I wove a couple years ago but comes out each Christmas. I have woven several of these along with Santa's but sold all of them or gave as gifts. they are much cuter in person

Watering can basket

this is a fun basket, woven too look like a watering can.

Double wall basket

this basket is woven with two layers of reed, first I wove the inside with dyed reed then I wove the outside with natural reed. It is very sturdy.

I love this one

this is a squatty shape, the tips at the bottom are known as cat head becasue when tipped upside down it looks like cat ears, then the curls around the top really make the basket. this is a real fun basket to make.

window sill basket

this was a fun basket, the border is braided with round reed.

another cutie

this basket is woven out of regular natural and smoke dyed reed, with sea grass tie on the handle.

Purse

I wove this purse out of hamburg cane, the handles are leather.

more small baskets

the green one with tiny hanldes is woven out of hamburg cane and the pin cushin is woven out of white ash, wool filling with the oils left in so the pins do not rust and velvet cover.

more small baskets

these are wax linen too.

A coupe of my very small baskets

one is coiled out of pine needles from the long leaf pines in my yard, the other 2 are woven out of wax linen thread with beads "one has beads" the tiny one has no beads. I show them with an apple so you can get an idea of the size. these are fun.

elegance basket

this is a Joann Kelly Castos basket, I took a class from her a couple of years ago at the North Carolina Basketry Association Weave-in. It was woven over a mold and was allot of fun to make. It is woven out of White Ash which she and her husband harvest out of thier woods in New England, I think they Live in MA.

Double Pie Carrier

This is a large double pie carrier, I love this basket it carries allot of stuff, I can use it for sewing too. this was a monster to weave.

Nantucket Basket

this is one of my favorites, it's the biggest nantucket that I have woven. It is cane woven on a cherry base and cherry handle.

Purple thistle basket

I wove this basket a while ago, I need to repair one of the little loops as you can see. Not hard to do fix. I also painted the maple strip. It has a braded border which is fun to do but time consuming

apple basket

I made the apple basket, it has a wood base, weaving is a good pass time

Mr woven Snowman

Star snowman basket

cradle

another angle of cradle.

Cradle

This cradle I made for Sandy's granddaughter Emma, it is her first grandaughter, Sandy has 7 grandsons and this was her last shot at a grandaughter. I held a Grandmother baby shower for her. No one ever gave me a baby shower so i decied to have one for her. The Ladies had a blast, we played lots of games and of course there was allot of food, everyone brought food. We also celebrated another grandmother that day, Kim, she had just a granddaughter too!!!! What fun we had.
