This is our tree this year, we went with the blown glass for this year and it was a big mistake, The three little kittens who lost their mittens kept climbing almost to the top to find them. we did have a few casualties but not too bad. We had to tie it up so they did not topple over, and boy did that tree shake when they got up into it. Kind of like a heard of elaphants trying to get a leaf off a utility pole.....

Dedicated to Meaty's memory

It is with great sadness that these pictures come to you asking for thoughtfulness and prayers for my son Michael and his wife Diana. On November 7th,6:10 am the day after their first wedding anniversary that Meatball passed away. He had been sick for a while and the vets couldn't really tell what was wrong with poor Meaty. Michael was holding him in his arms when Meaty took his last breaths of life. My son and his wife are in a tremendous amount of sorrow and I pray every day that they come to peace and life seems more bearable to them. Meatball was my son's best friend and feels so lost with out Meatball. Please keep them in your prayers, Meaty was only 4 years old. We love you Meatball. All of our kids have pets and when one of them pass on it feels as though it is one of your own grandchild/grandpet/granamal. Michael and Diana we love you.

This is another Round robin i am in with CQI, Under the Sea and I used silk ribbon and beads, shell, charms to replicate things on the bottom of the sea. I am finding this rr to be really fun because the unser the water theme is just really pretty. Not things you see daily so it is a challenge to find things to go on the sea floor.

Bear Bear with his mommy. He is growing like a weed. Almost getting as big as mom....

Bear Bear has brought so much love and joy to this family. He is such a comedian and also brings so much laughter. He is so smart, Mom and Dad are sister and brother who could not be spayed and nuetered due to illness and the day before Pip's surgery to be nuetered him and his sister Zoey decided to mate. Can you believe the first time mating and bingo! Well this precious little beauty is the result. I was worried about defects but the only defect he has is being way ahead of schedule as far as his IQ if cats have an IQ he is on the top of the list. Being the only kitten he got all the attention so maybe that made him smarter...LOL He is much loved and cherished

Here they are family pictures, Mom Zo Zo, Dad Pip, and baby Smeesher Bear. His tiny little eyes statred to appear 3 days ago, he is getting bigger everyday and is likeing the feeling of human touch until Mom hears and then it is back to the nursery box. She will try to take him right our of your hands. Once you put him back Zo Zo has to clean all the human germs off and make him fresh and clean. I just love to kiss and kiss and Kiss this tiny little creation from our wonderous Lord above. One of the best of God's gifts are the tiny living little creatures that beautify the earth with each breath they take, babies oh how darling....

The Irish Patchwork Society was founded in 1981 to promote the practice and art of patchwork, applique and quilting in Ireland To read more about this click on the highlighted link above.

Chairperson Miriam Gogarty recently presented President Mary McAleese with "Emma's Tree". The President was very impressed with the wall-hanging and said that it will hang in her home in Roscommon for Christmas.

A pattern for making "Emma's Tree" is included in the Winter Issue of the IPS Newsletter.

This beautiful little bundle of hair Smeesher Bear born 5/12/11 to Zoey Alff Hallman who herself is only 7 months old. She only had one baby and is a very good mommy. the proud father is her brother Pip. We did all we could to avoid this pregnacy however both Zoey and Pip were on medication for feline herpes and were not candidates for spay or nueter until their health was clear. Pip was cleared first for the nueter but low and behold he mated with Zoey the day before his surgery... can you believe it. I am just as happy to believe that this was meant to be. He is a darling and we pray for him to have good health due to the fact that his parents were ill and that he is also the product of incest...I guess for cats that is not a problem so says the vet...

Thank you to my Darling Husband Ted who is always by my side. He is always the one to make each day make me look forward to the life ahead with him. My children Ashlee and Michael and his new wife are all I could ever ask for. They are the most perfect children in an imperfect world. I love them all with all my heart and soul. I look forward to many more Mothers day with them..... the flowers are orchids from Ted and the pink peonies are from Diana's Mother garden. they are gorgeous and smell wonderful.

DeLANCEY _ Patricia M. "Pat" Caswell, 69, of DeLancey, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, April 4, 2011, at home.

The daughter of the late Norman G. and Marjorie L. (Hosier) Frey, she was born Nov. 1, 1941, on the family farm in New Kingston (Town of Roxbury,) where she grew up, was a graduate of Margaretville High School, and married George E. Caswell, 1966.

Pat lived in DeLancey for the past 40 years, and was employed as a secretary at SUNY Delhi (four years) and SUCO (24 years), retiring in 2004.

She served as secretary and chair of the Delaware County Democratic Committee; past-president of Delhi BPW; Literacy Volunteers of America; member of New Kingston Presbyterian Church and D.W. Gleason Unit 190, American Legion Auxiliary, Delhi.

In addition to her husband, of New Kingston, she is survived by a sisters, Priscilla (Raymond) Barkman, Schoharie; Lynda Haggart Richmond Virginia, Lisa Alff Hope Mills NC. Liz Hodges Richmond Virginia, Roxann Costellano Wheat Ridge CO, 4 brothers, Norman (Phyllis) Frey Jr., West Sand Lake,Andy Frey Oswego NY, David Frey IL, and Otto Frey, Accord; stepfather, Donald Monnington, New Kingston; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at the Hall & Peet Funeral Home, Delhi, where services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, by the Rev Bert More. Burial later in Sanford Cemetery, New Kingston.

Contributions to Heart of the Catskills Humane Society, P.O. Box 88, Delhi, appreciated.

These were just seeds that we threw over Hailies grave and they turned out beautiful. This is one of Ashlee's cats that was put to sleep because she had some kind of nerve damage. I feel Haily was telling Ashlee that she is okay and is waiting at rainbow bridge. Do you know where that is?
OH and this is the cat the would literally run across the room to slap me with her paw...LOL she was too funny. She always wanted to lay in my tote bags that I brought to Ashlee's house to work on some project and if I so much as tried to put my hand down in the tote she would slap me.. we can not figure it out... It was super funny.

I have a good yahoo friend in Dublin, Ireland. We are both members of a fibre group called Art4Mail. Miriam is the president of the Irish Patchwork Society, and she has told me about the society's 30th anniversery this year. To celebrate, they are running a postcard exhibition - it will be on display in the Botanical Garden in Dublin in August. They want both national and international entries, so these are the two postcards I've sent them. Postcards will not be returned, but sold in aid of an Irish Breast Cancer Charity. The deadline for entries is mid June.

they love to play to my large baskets that I wove a couple years ago. they make nice hiding and sleeping quarters.

They are so adorable and just love to play night and day and day and night. If you want peace never get 2 kittens at once....LOL I have to say that they keep us laughing. Pip acts just like his name means, look it up in the dictionary, Smigit she is always on a mission and if you try to get her attention forget it, she is focused on what she is doing... They are so sweet all of the other animals even like them and chip in with the care. They get lots of baths and they also get disciplined. The older girls will tap them with their paws if they kits are misbehavin. It is so funny to watch.... I guess You can tell they are much loved.

Both babies are finally back to health thanks to our precious Veterinary Marie Burris, She works for Dr Dean, owner of Southern Oaks in Hope Mills and Cypress Lakes Vet Clinic in Grays Creek. They are all the best!!! but these 2 clinics are worth every penny for the best care you will ever find. Both babies have herpes, I did not know they could get that, not transferred to humans but they are both better, to top it off Smigit had bartonella, her lymph nodes were the size of golf balls, and she went on a human medication that I had to purchase from a Pharmacy, it is a six week treatment and she has 3 more weeks to go. The great news is the lymph nodes are back to normal size so much so I can't even find them now. I was so afraid she had cancer but My vet Marie Burris knew what she was doing..
Marie has been there through thick and thin, she is the one who had to put to sleep Haley and Theo (you will find Theo sitting in Ted's chair watching the football game, he was only a baby himself at just 2 years old) . She sent my daughter a gift each time to show her concern and empathy for Ashlee) both of those kitties were Ashlee's . Thank you Dr Burris!!!!! We love you. Now Pip and Smigit have brightened up this dreary house with their antics and spritefullness (I made up this new word for kitties who love to play and tackle on another......

This fun playshop that Pam Crawford taught us on Art4Mail was really fun and quite and adventure for some of us in Art4Mail. we have been together as a group for almost 4 years and we are taking on new challenges. Things to keep us from getting bored. We are now doing Playshops where some one volunteers to teach a new technique or some fun thing to keep or swap. These were made with muslin and glue mixed with water and then tissue paper layered on and painted or thin wrapping paper works well too. then you seal this with any kind of good sealer after you have painted, stamped ect. Then you embelish the way you want to. these can be made into many things, note books, postcards atc's inchies, use your imagination...

Latest Quilt project

This quilt I am making for a long time member of the Tarheel Quilters Guild, Gloria Funk unfortunatly suffered a stroke and is now in a nursing home unable to finish this quilt she started making for her granddaughter. She has made a quilt for all members of her family but did not quite get to this one, she did have the blocks cut out and I took over from there. I now have the top done. This quilt is also a pattern by one of our guild members Iris, the quilt name is Tiles of Italy. So now I need to get it quilted. It was fun making it except for fitting those 45 degree angles.....LOL

Sons Wedding November 6th 2010

Yes here is my gorgeous new daughter Diana, my son has chosen a very beautiful bride.
Of course my son is handsome as can be and sweet too!! It was a beautiful wedding and we had a fabulous time. A miracle happen for sure that day, it was freezing and a little drizzle here and there on our way to the wedding, it was still quite cold and windy just a bit too, but during the wedding the sun came out and was so warm. As soon as we got back inside it was cold again.. God layed his wondrous hand over this wedding and blessed us all. Everyone was awe struck when this happened and I have never seen a group of people recognize the miracle and talk about it freely. Most would keep it to them selves and this is just to let you know how much of a differecne the sun coming out made on a group of people who did not all know each other. But most of all God let us know that He was with both Michael and Diana on their wedding day.

The Orange kitty has no name yet and we have had these guys for a month!!!! We have called him several, he is wreck, loves to play and he plays hard. I really think he need prozac. Joey id the tri color baby and as sweet as pie. What a lover she is. Total opposite of her brother. They are so cute to watch and we just love them to pieces. They were abandoned at our vets office, left outside in a box.

Grandpa Ted is sleeping with one of his baby girls, when ever the poor guy naps there is always one on his lap in his arms sleeping too. There is Alice, Sassy ( the one in the pic and Fanny. The boys will get up there once in a while, Greyson, Bud and Theo( Theo is the grandson) We lost Ashlee's other baby a week and half ago, she was Hailey and she died at the young of age of 6 from nerve disease. Hailey only liked Grandpas lap too. I will have to post a pic off her too.

Found this little guy swimming in our backyard swimming pool, the pool has been neglected and turned green. We acutally got the chemicals today to clean up the swamp. After adding some Chemicals he swam up to the steps and yelled for help. My Delightful husband Ted scooped him up in the net...so our dear daughter Ashlee named him Franklyn and wants to keep him has a pet...yes it is true...I'm hoping to let him go depending on our research to see if it feasable to keep him as a pet. He/she is so cute.....enjoy the pictures, It is my gorgeous hand that you see holding him so you can tell how tiny he/she is. We are wondering if he has siblings in there????

This is a baby quilt I am making to donate to our quilt guild for the neonatal unit of our local hospital. We donate about 25 to 30 quilts a month to them. We also make and donate about 250 to 300 Verterans quilts for the VA hospital at Christmas time..Currently I am the president of the the guild and I am so thrilled at this wonderful opportunity. Great group of men and women and very supporting of each other and the community.

This is one of my first quilts I made which also comes out at Christmas. I pieced and quilted it on my Bernina..Just simple meandering...

this is a snowman I wove a couple years ago but comes out each Christmas. I have woven several of these along with Santa's but sold all of them or gave as gifts. they are much cuter in person

We are doing a pin cushion swap of the month in Art4Mail these are the ones I have got so far. One is Our State and Vic made mine, it is on a wood base with Washington State fabric and seh made pins with things that are their state sign, bird, flower and so on. Barbara Moore made me the cutest purse, Ildika Colley made me a spoon with a doily and old linen, it is the most unique, I got a bottle cap truffle that I really wish I could eat and the cutest tea cup and saucer. these ladies did a terrific job and I look forward to this swap each month.
